Uxbridge, UK., 13 February, 2017 – HAVI, a global leader in packaging and supply chain management, is set to showcase a number of new technologies at the 2017 Packaging Innovations conference in Birmingham. Exhibiting at the event, which takes place in Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre on 1-2 March 2017, HAVI will showcase products including SIX500™ – a new breakthrough in disposable food packaging – in Europe for the first time.

HAVI manages some of the largest, most complex and most efficient supply chains in the world. And as a leader in packaging, the business works with a number of industry partners and innovators in order to bring breakthrough packaging concepts to market. Technologies HAVI will be showcasing at the event include:

  • SIX500™ – A ready-to-serve, accelerated cooking packaging created in partnership with Manitowoc Foodservice, Inc. The new material benefits from structural integrity, optimal release performance across a wide variety of product types, and moisture resistant coatings that can withstand the most aggressive temperatures and humidity

  • Fibre fingerprint technology – A revolutionary, robust fingerprint technology that enables item identification and authentication. The technology is cost-effective, simple to manufacture and deploy, and has a wide range of potential applications

  • Chill Buddy® – A vacuum metallised, dual-layered insulating material. The 99% reflective coating of Chill Bubble® allows temperature control to be maintained without any mechanical apparatus, and could be applied to luxury bags, pods, pallets and more

  • Sustainable paint containers – New, sustainable containers designed to reduce the proportion of paint containers sent straight to landfill.
