HAVI Achieves ISO 9001:2015 Accreditation For Its Freight Management Business In Hong Kong, Shenzhen And Guangzhou
HAVI is pleased to announce that it has successfully achieved the internationally recognized ISO 9001:2015 certification for its freight management business in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, consolidating its status as one of the leading businesses in its field.

Embedding excellence

The accreditation was awarded by the British Standards Institution (BSI), the world’s first national standards body. Established in 1901, BSI is responsible for originating many of the world’s most widely used management systems standards and publishes over 2,700 standards annually. Today, it works with over 80,000 clients 172 countries worldwide, helping them to make excellence a habit.

ISO 9001 certification underlines HAVI’s commitment to our customers as well as our focus on placing quality and continuous improvement at the heart of our organization, from quotation to delivery.

Professionalism and dedication

HAVI’s journey towards achieving ISO 9001:2015 accreditation only started at the end of October 2016. But thanks to the professionalism and dedication of the teams involved, the business gained certification for three offices – Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou – in just three months.

From the start, HAVI was determined to ensure that the ISO framework it adopted delivered genuine value to its customers. Before presenting its submission to the certification registrar, the team invested extensive time and resources into preparation work. Among other tasks, this involved aligning 150 files of internal policies and processes with ISO standards, training employees and completing internal audits.

Setting standards

Achieving certification within such challenging timescales was also thanks to the efficiency of HAVI’s existing internal systems. With Total Quality Management (TQM) processes already in place, HAVI’s policies and procedural documents set the standards against which our people execute their daily tasks – particularly when it comes to engaging our customers.
